Remedies & Enhancements for January 5 – February 3
Energy moves in cycles. Just as the annual energy shifts each year, monthly energy plays an even more frequent game of musical chairs. By tweaking our feng shui on a monthly basis we can harness the potential for auspicious energy and reduce the impact of potential inauspicious energy.
How to Feng Shui Monthly
Remedy and enhance the directional guas/areas as directed below. The entry, bedroom and home office are the three most important areas/rooms to adjust your feng shui. When there is difficult energy visiting for the month at the front door or entry, choose to use an alternative door or entry point, if you can. When difficult energy visits your bedroom for the month, remedy 4-5 days leading up to the shift or sleep in another room. If you don’t want to remedy and enhance each area every month, apply the following recommendations to the directional guas of your living room.
There are two steps to remedying and enhancing your feng shui for the month:
Remove
You may need to remove a remedy or enhancement for the month from certain guas/areas/rooms. Sometimes, you can remove a plant, vase of flowers, tabletop water fountain, lighting, art piece, metal figurine/item, crystals or colors from one area and move it to another area. Other times, you may need to remove it and store it for use in another month.
Add
You may need to add an element or color to a gua/area/room for the month. Curate a collection of items that represent The Five Elements to add to areas and move around as needed.
NOTE to Inner Chi Clients
Do NOT add Fire elements (red spectrum colors or extra lighting) or Water elements (water colors, pictures or yang moving water features or fountains) if your 2018 Annual Energy Feng Shui report explicitly says No RED/Fire or No Water in that gua/area.
The Quick Notes
Front Door/Entry If you enter your home through the SE, SW, N or NW use an alternate door, if possible.
Bedroom If your bedroom is in the SE or N, sleep in another room for the month of January or add metal.
Home Office If you work from home and have an office in the SE or N, work in a another room during the month of January. If your office is in the SW or NW, do not take or place calls or have meetings in your office.
Peaceful & Happy Relations Avoid arguments with family and friends by not having any conversations or discussions in the SW or NW in January.
Feng Shui for YOU!
Women, especially if they are the eldest daughter, might have a challenging month in January. Women and Mother Earth elements may face a lawsuit or robbery. Slanderous gossip or arguments may upset important relationships. Women may be more emotionally self-expressed, and not in a good way. They may feel out of sorts and prone to whining, nagging and complaining. Ladies, determine what you need and ask for it. Express your appreciation when you are given the help you needed and requested.
Eldest daughters and Soft Wood elements should take especially good care of their health and personal well-being. Go outside, get some fresh air and natural sunlight. Journal. Ground. Go for a walk. Be with people. Don’t make any big decisions or financial investments. Cash flow may slow to a stop. Hang in there!
The man of the house may be more confrontational and less patient with people. Men and Hard Metal elements might instigate a fight or have cutting words with people that whittle them down to size. Injuries by sharp metal objects, a lay off or job loss and legal problems may come up. Fraud and identity theft are also possibilities. Mastering being authentic and sincere without disturbing the peace is essential to overcoming these probabilities. Men should wear more blue this month to reduce this energy's effect on them. Also, get any dental work that you need done.
Center
The energy that visits the center of buildings affects everyone in the home or business. It has the most effect on each person’s well-being, energy balance and relationship harmony.
The visiting energy this month brings the potential for power and authority, help from benefactors and opportunities to travel. It’s like having your own easy button or genie in a bottle.
Enhance the potential for receiving wise counsel, unexpected gifts of money and major upgrades to your life with crystals and a water feature.
North
The energy that visits the North affects Water elements, the middle son, middle aged men, elders and crones, wombs and fetuses. It has the most effect on our career and life path.
The visiting energy this month brings the potential for sickness and/or separation. The areas of health possibly affected are the waterways of the body, the kidneys, blood and ears. The potential is for you to lose your monthly income or have your cash flow dry up. If you normally enter your home through the North, use a different entrance. If your bedroom is in the North, please consider sleeping in another room or area to protect your health.
The annual metal energy reduces the effect this energy may have on your health and cash flow. Remedy these potentials by removing all Fire elements and red spectrum colors and adding some more metal to this area. Avoid as much as possible and keep quiet.
Northeast
The energy that visits the Northeast affects Mountain Earth elements, the youngest son, boys and middle aged people (40-64). It has the most effect on our spirituality and self-cultivation, skillsets and personal development.
The visiting energy this month increases the permanent and annual energy in the Northeast. It has the potential to increase the love in your relationships. It also brings fame and fortune to your every endeavor. Enjoy a month of blessings!
The annual “peach blossom” energy in the Northeast is activated and enhanced by the monthly energy. It creates sparks in romantic relationships and keeps the spark alive in loving relationships. Enhance this favorable energy with Fire elements and red spectrum colors.
East
The energy that visits the East affects Hard Wood elements, the eldest son and children (0-6). It has the most effect on our health and family relationships.
The visiting energy this month brings the potential for romance and travel. Scholastic achievement and business success are also possible. You may even meet a new romantic partner or plan a romantic getaway with your partner or family.
The annual abundance energy combined with the monthly romance energy is very auspicious. Enhance this very favorable energy with either water for romance or red, lighting or Fire elements for money.
Southeast
The energy that visits the Southeast affects Soft Wood elements, the eldest daughter and teens. It has the most effect on our wealth and prosperity, business sales and income.
The visiting energy this month brings the potential for obstacles and delays. If your front door, bedroom or office is in the Southeast, don’t be surprised if you struggle to get things done or even started. Other effects include, getting lost, losing things, forgetting where you’ve put things and even lethargy and fatigue. Do not sleep in the SE is you can sleep somewhere else. If your front door opens into the SE, use another door this month.
The annual Fire energy enhances this difficult energy. Remedy these potentials by removing all Fire elements and red spectrum colors and adding metal. Keep quiet, if possible. If your kitchen is in the Southeast, don’t use the stove or oven, if possible. Under no circumstances light a fire in a wood burning stove or fireplace in the Southeast.
South
The energy that visits the South affects Fire elements, the middle daughter, middle-aged women and all adults from 25-39. It has the most effect on our fame and fortune, reputation and recognition, bonuses and blessings.
The visiting energy this month brings the potential for wealth and fame. It’s great for increasing income related to career advancement and scholastic achievement. Being singled out among the crowd for a promotion or raise, especially at work, is likely.
The annual Earth energy combined with the monthly Water energy creates the potential feeling stuck, even paralyzed. Remedy this with Metal elements and colors (white, gray and metallics). It’s like taking a snow shovel to the ice blocking your path.
Southwest
The energy that visits the Southwest affects Mother Earth elements and all women, especially those who are wives and mothers, as well as, young adults from 19-24. It has the most effect on our romantic relationships and business partnerships.
The visiting energy this month brings the potential for whining and complaining. This energy may aggravate angry people or encourage slanderous gossip, especially at home and between lovers or partners. Avoid the Southwest area when having conversations, on the phone or in person. This wood energy may put a strain on relationships, especially between couples. Because this Hard Wood energy is associated with Health & Family, women may experience some health problems or family dysfunction.
The annual augmentative energy aggravates this complaining energy even more. Reduce both with some red spectrum colors, lighting and Fire elements. Add a pair of red candles to the SW this month.
West
The energy that visits the West affects Soft Metal elements, the youngest daughter and children 7-12. It has the most effect on our creativity and our children’s health and well-being.
The visiting energy this month brings the potential for prosperity and an abundance of all good things. Social networks will benefit from this favorable energy. Children should be especially careful playing at the park, at gym class or when playing sports of any kind.
The annual Hard Wood energy needs to be reduced as much as the Mountain Earth energy can be enhanced. Remedy and enhance with red spectrum colors and Fire elements. Keep the light on in this area. Enjoy the abundance!
Northwest
The energy that visits the Northwest affects Hard Metal elements, men who are husbands and fathers, seniors who are retired and all major breadwinners/head of households. It has the most effect on our ability to help others or ask and receive help from others. It also affects travel of any kind, moving, planning trips or vacations and opportunities for tourism and travel.
The visiting energy this month brings the potential for unpleasant interactions with people, especially wives and mothers. This energy causes people to lash out verbally, start arguments and intentionally hurt people with their words, especially through name calling and slander. This energy also creates the potential for being lied to, stolen from, cheated and even violently assaulted by metal objects that cause bleeding. Because this energy is associated with the mouth, men especially, may have to get some dental work done.
The annual Earth energy enhances this unfavorable energy. Remedy by adding some water colors (black, blue, purple) and symbolic Water elements (glass, crystal, mirror) to this area. Additionally, be very careful about what you say to people. Measure your words. Count to ten. Listen to understand.
